 President's Trophy

The final event of the season, the President's Trophy, an 18 hole stableford competition, will be played at the Bull Bay G C this Sunday, October 1st - details of the order of play can be seen below.

 Mark Is Seniors Champion
 

20/09/17

Twelve handicapped Mark Grey of the Holyhead G C is the 2017 A G U Seniors Champion but it needed a card play off with fellow Holyhead members John Falloon and Tony Chorley after the three competitors returned nett scores of 69.

The Holyhead club won the team Championship too - making the most of home advantage their C team returned a best five out of six nett team total of 369, three shots ahead of Holyhead A.

Members of the winning team were Gwyn Thomas, Colin Plowman, Mark Grey, John Farrell, Will Williams and Gareth Edwards.

 Holyhead G C Capture the Rawlinson Shield
 

11/09/17

Holyhead G C's team won the inter club Seniors team competition for the Rawlinson Shield when the final round was played at the Henllys G C Beaumaris.

The host club returned the best total on the day - their leading six stableford scores totalling 195 points with team member Vic Wallace returning the best individual score with 38 points playing off a handicap of 18.

Team scores for the day were:-
Henllys Hall G C 195 points
Baron Hill G C 183
Holyhead G C 182
Storws Wen G C 173
Bull Bay G C 173
Anglesey G C 160

Overall scores were:-
Holyhead G C 909
Baron Hill G C 899
Bull Bay G C 872
Storws Wen G C 846
Henllys Hall G C 842
Anglesey G C 627

 Jack is Country Championship
 

11/09/17

In nearly impossible playing conditions Jack Carter of the Bull Bay G C captured the County scratch championship trophy with a thirty six hole total of 157 at the Anglesey G C Rhosneigr - Sion Thomas ,also from the Bull Bay club, was the runner up eight shots adrift.

The H V Roberts trophy, the 18 hole nett competition was won by host club member Terry Gilford who returned 96 - 20 - 76 to beat fellow club member Steve Sinclair ( 85 - 7 - 78 ) by a single shot.
 

 
 County Seniors Championship
 

11/09/17

This coming Thursday, September 14th, Holyhead G C will host the County Seniors championship. Sixty two golfers from member clubs will compete for the trophy and age group prizes.

 Rawlinson Shield - Final Round
 

04/09/17

The sixth and final round of this year's Inter club Seniors team competition for the Rawlinson Shield will be played at the Henllys G C, Beaumaris this coming Thursday, September 7th.

Holyhead G C currently lead Baron Hill G C by 11 points with Bull Bay G C a further 17 points adrift.

 County Match Play Championship
 

18/08/17

The final of the 2017 Match Play Championship was played at Bull Bay G C. and involved two host club members Ian Norgain, the County Captain and Danny Roberts.

The eighteen hole event saw Roberts reach the turn four up on his opponent - the match finishing on the 14th green in favour of Roberts by a six and four score line.
