| County Suffer Heavy Defeat at Porthmadog |

In the opening match of the 2011 North Wales League
championship, Anglesey lost by 10.5 to 1.5 against current champions
Caernarfonshire at Porthmadog G C.
The home county won the morning foursomes by 4 matches
to 0 and only Bull Bay's Jack Carter and Sion Thomas claimed points in
the afternoon - Carter winning his match and Thomas halving his.
Representing Anglesey were Howie Hughes, Captain Rob
Jones, Mark Jones, Emyr Jones (Anglesey G C), Jack Carter and Sion
Thomas (Bull Bay G C) Adam Williams (Henllys G C) and Dewi Caughter
(Baron Hill G C).

The county junior Captain, Scott Fenwick of the
Holyhead G C was the runner up in the 72 hole North Wales Boys
Championship nett competition with a four round total of 287 - four
behind the winner Sam McCarthy of the Vale of Glamorgan.
His 72 hole total won the Holyhead junior the Bob Pressdee Trophy - an
event restricted to North Wales boys.

The second round of this year's Rawlinson Shield was played at the Anglesey G C,
Rhosneigr. Team scores for the day were:- Bull Bay 431, Henllys 443, Baron Hill
443, Holyhead 447, Anglesey 451, Storws Wen 457. The best individual nett score was returned by Terry Gilford of Bull Bay 80- 12 - 68.
Overall team scores, with the next round listed for Holyhead G C on June 2nd are Bull Bay G C 886, Baron Hill GC 905, Henllys G C 909, Anglesey GC 913, Holyhead GC 916, Storws Wen GC 937.

| Juniors Halve with Flintshire |

The county juniors opened the 2011 campaign with a 6 - 6 result at Henllys G C,
Beaumaris against Flintshire. The island team lost the morning foursomes by 2.5 to 1.5 but won the afternoon singles 4.5 to 3.5.
Representing Anglesey were Kieran Robinson (Anglesey G C) Adam Warriner and Darren
Owen (Henllys G C), Mathew Rankenhohn, Ben Flint (Baron Hill G C) and Toby O'Connor, Edward Beardsley and Iwan Roberts (Bull Bay G C).

The county junior team opens its campaign in the North Wales Inter Counties league with a match against Flintshire at Henllys G C Beaumaris this Wednesday. April 27th.
Under the captaincy of Holyhead G C's Scott Fenwick the Anglesey team will be selected from the following squad:
