The county Seniors team lost an inter county match against Denbighshire by 3.5 to 1.5 at Abergele G C.
Anglesey's only success in the four ball better games came from Bull Bay debutants Paul Collins and Emrys Jones with the Anglesey G C pairing of David McLean and Gareth W Jones registering a half.

The county seniors side plays the opening match of the
season against Denbighshire at Abergele G C this Thursday, June 30th.
The following have been selected to represent Anglesey:
Ian Furlong (Captain), Emrys Jones, Paul Collins, Richard Cowell and
Dafydd Davies (Bull Bay G C), David McLean and Gareth W Jones
(Anglesey G C), Les Summers and Alan S Williams (Holyhead G C) and
Gareth Salisbury (Baron Hill G C).

After losing the opening two matches in the North
Wales Inter Counties League the Anglesey team scored a narrow 6.5 to
5.5 victory against Flintshire at Anglesey G C Rhosneigr. The home
team won the morning foursomes by 3 matches to 1 and battled hard in
the afternoon singles to take the necessary three and a half points to
record the victory. Results -Anglesey names first:

Mark Robinson and Gwyn Owen (both Anglesey G C) beat David Williams
(Prestatyn) and Mark Davies ( Holywell) 4 and 3
Aled Williams (Holyhead) and Kieran Robinson (Anglesey) lost to Arron
Williams (Prestatyn) and Alex Bradbrook (Mold) 3 and 1
Ian Norgain and Sion Thomas (both Bull Bay) beat Adam Tuft and Adam
Wilson (both Mold) 3 and 2
Adam Williams (Henllys) and Emyr Jones (Anglesey G C beat Karl Lurz
(Mold) and Nick Hodge (Padeswood and Buckley ) 2 and 1.
Singles:
Thomas lost to Davies 3 and 1
Mark Robinson lost to David Williams 4 and 3
Aled Williams lost to Bradbrook 4 and 3
Kieran Robinson beat Arron Williams 1 hole
